Arline Chase  has published more than 500 short stories in national and regional magazines. Her short story, Final Exit: The First Jack and Jill Mystery, won first place in the A&E Cable Network's Mystery Writing contest in 1999. Click on the title for a free copy.
    Arline has also written a number of books ranging from mystery, to romance, and even
some "serious fiction." Her first collection of short stories, The Drowned Land, won the Governor's Award in Maryland in 1984, but foundno publisher. Some of those stories were published in Chesapeake Bay Magazine when she attended Salisbury State University. The Drowned Land was published by Connie Foster at ebooksonethe.net  in 1999 and was an Eppie* Finalsit in 2000. Later, two of the stories formed the basis for her period novel Killraven, an Eppie Finalist in 2005.
